A Closer Look

SWEDISH RELAXATION

Have gentle Flowing movements to slow down the nervous system, increase blood and lymphatic flow, and to enhance healing. Done quietly with minimal clothing and draped/covered, light to moderate pressure. Great for distressing by switching the nervous system from Sympathetic (Fight or Flight) to Para-Sympathetic relaxation which aids digestion, immune system lowers Blood pressure and reduces stress hormone in the body.

Can be combined with Reiki, reflexology or salt scrubs.

MANUAL THERAPY

Manual therapy techniques are more injury or condition-oriented and focus on specific areas of the body. After an injury or even postural distortions, muscles, tendons and ligaments (Soft Tissue) tend to tighten up, restricting circulation, contributing to pain and decreasing joint movement leading to a Pain-Spasm cycle. With techniques such as soft tissue and joint mobilization, neuromuscular massage and myofascial release, Fyzical therapists manipulate soft tissue and connective tissue (sheath that covers bone and nerves) to restore motion and ease discomfort caused by muscle tightness and spasms. These techniques break the Pain-Spasm cycle there-by restoring functionality, coordination and freedom of movement.

It’s time to live pain free!
